I grew up in Iowa and for many years trained and showed horses. My auction career started right out of high school working for an auctioneer from Oskaloosa, IA. With over 50+ years of auction experience, I have had the privilege to conduct all kinds of auctions from farm, horse, estate, real estate and auto. As an auto auctioneer, I have had auctions in Des Moines, Omaha, Mount Vernon, Minneapolis, Kansas City, and Dallas which was 31 years of my career. I was also a Realtor in Iowa, then moved to Omaha, NE where I met my wife Sharon. We moved to Smithville, MO in 1999 for my job.
My wife and I purchased some acreage south of Plattsburg in 2009 and have been busy building a vineyard ever since. Sharon started making grape jelly from the wine grapes that we grow and she sells it as “Grammy’s Grape Jelly”. We have four children between us, three girls and a boy, plus 7 grandchildren.
I got my Real Estate license in Missouri and Kansas and joined Show Me Real Estate in Dec 2012. I’ve been with Talley and Associates Auctions since it opened in September 2012. We are successful with auctions because of the diversity of our team. I am also licensed as an auctioneer in Texas, license #16651.
